Biggest news this week: Remington Marli Merrell was born! My sis did wonderfully and made a cute baby.
In other news, we started teaching so many awesome people this week! There was this one day where we just had back to back to back to back restoration lessons and it was amazing. The spirit is always SO strong when teaching the restoration of the gospel. One person we met doing the Light the World booth in December, Cody, was one of those super powerful lessons. He didn't grow up with any religion or anything, which is very unique for Texas. He told us that he has felt empty for more than a year. He just hasn't known where to turn or where to start. When he came to our Come Follow Me study, he felt filled. We asked him if he would be baptized when he came to know these things were true and he said "well I don't know why I wouldn't." Haha he is awesome.
Oh I'm in a trio now! It's the middle of the transfer, but there was a sister who finished her mission and so her companion joined us! We have combined our two areas and have been crazy busy!! I love it. The YSA are all looking for truth, and we have it!
We also got to teach my companion's friend from back home over Skype and that was so fun! Sister Larsen's mom got to join us as well.
Weelllll so many miracles are happening here and I am so so blessed to be in College Park. All the students are gone for Spring break this week, so we are getting creative!
Yesterday my companions and I had the opportunity to fast for all the people we are teaching. We fasted that every one of them would see a miracle as they were away for break. When I was praying in my closet out loud, God told me it would happen so it's gonna (:
But something I noticed a lot this last week while studying the book of mormon was how much 1) Christ institutes the sacrament among the Nephites and 2) how often it says they were "filled." They weren't filled physically, but they were filled spiritually. I felt this a ton while fasting and particularly taking the sacrament. Christ fills us where we are empty. He makes everything that is wrong, right. He heals the broken and wounded. He fills the empty. That was something even Cody noted this week, and I know it to be true.
The Lord loves y'all and so do I!
Sister MacLay
