"Our new companion trio is Sister Homer".

Hey y'all!

This week has been CRAZY! Tuesday we picked up our new companion, Sister Horner. She is fresh from the MTC! We are super excited to be able to train her.

Wednesday we were able to help a little girl, Raylah, and her family move. We then got to do a little Bible study with Raylah. She loves to pray and read and she's the cutest ever!!

WE GOT A REFERRAL THIS WEEK!! this is suuuuuper rare! He lived in a town not too far from us, so we went to see him Friday! We planned on teaching him the restoration, but when we got there we found out that his mom had passed away a few weeks prior. So, naturally, we taught him the Plan of Salvation. It meant so much to him. We got to leave him with a Book of Mormon as well. I'm super excited to continue teaching him. His name is Dearl/Chase.

On Friday, I experienced my first tornado! We woke up to a really crazy storm. There was lightning striking all around us and some gnarly thunder. The tornado was pretty small and did minimal damage; I will attach some pictures. It was just a a couple of streets from us! We were walking out the door to proselyte when the tornado sirens started going off. So we went back in and did companion study but went back out in about an hour (: tornados ain't stoppin us.

Yesterday the weather was 85 degrees and 100% humidity all day, and today it's 39 but feels like 28! Texas is wildin.

We did the food pantry again at the 1st Baptist church! They love us so much. We are softening a lot of hearts here! Apparently we are the talk of the town  because we are "everywhere all the time." and now that we are in a trio, everyone is so shook. Everyday we get "There's 3 of you now?!" some people think we are trying to take over the town. They're not wrong.

Yesterday in testimony meeting my favorite was from a little girl named Gracie. Her testimony in its entirety was: "I am Grace. I am 4. I am true. I am forgiven."

Remember how much Jesus loves you and is willing to forgive you! <3
In this last conference, Elder Carpenter testified: "Because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, if we choose to repent and turn our hearts fully to the Savior, He will heal us spiritually."

Along with Elder Carpenter, I testify that "Jesus Christ paid the price so that we can be made whole. But we must choose to take that healing medicine He offers. Take it today. Do not delay."

With all my love from the ❤️ of Texas,
Sister MacLay
