We got to go to the temple with Kacey to do baptisms on Saturday!

The Lubbock temple post-baptisms with Kacey!
What a week!
So I'll just give a few highlights:

We had a prompting to go to a town called Hedley that's probably an hour from us. There is literally nothing in Hedley but when the Lord prompts, you do! We went there and, as expected, it was dead. We knocked on some houses with no answer and when someone finally did open up their door it was a preacher's wife who just wanted to bash haha. The joys of being in the Bible belt. But then we had the feeling that we should go over by the school so we did. We knocked on the very first house and they told us to come in. We went in to their trailer and there were a few older men who were all very somber looking. The guy who told us to come in said, "we just got back from a funeral. We have to go bury my son now. Could y'all come back another time?" so that was crazy. If anyone needs this message its a family who just lost their young son in a freak accident. We knocked on another door and they told us they just got back from the funeral as well, but they slammed the door and told us to get lost. Welp we walked a little ways and saw where the funeral had been held. They looked like they were taking everything down so we went to see if we could help. We got there and they said no but we got to talking to some of them. We have a goal of sharing scriptures with at least 15 nonmembers a day. So we asked if we could share a scripture and the last we were talking to seemed uninterested. But this dude pops out and says "I'm not ashamed of the word of the lord!" haha so sister allart goes to share our scripture of the day with him and she cannot find it for the life of her, which was crazy because she is crazy good at memorizing scriptures and references and stuff. It's insane. So then we decided to share a different scripture. It was 2 Nephi 2:25 which just says:  Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.
We told him how our purpose in this life is to have joy! He said that the night before he had been praying and asking God what his purpose in life was...!!! We got to talking more and he told us how he's a drug addict and he's been clean for a week and just really wants a clean start and to change. He told us that he knew the reason why we were there was because God sent us to help him!! So we are going to be seeing Justin on Tuesday! Pray that it goes well when we meet with him and also try to see the family that lost their son.

We got to go to the temple to do baptisms on Saturday! We went with our recent convert  Kacey. It was such an amazing experience! She loved it. The ride up there was kinda rough though haha. Sister Allart and I rode in the back with her 2 year old Aurora. Aurora was screaming and crying the whole 3 hours there. And she projectile vomited on us. We pulled over to clean it all up really quick and got on the road again. But she was still screaming and yelling and she threw up on us again so we had to pull over and clean it up again. Haha. Good times.

In my last email, I believe I talked a bit about Fransisco! He is the Spanish man who is mentally challenged. Sister Allart and I felt like we shouldn't teach him anymore because he just there and he's not accountable. But we still invited him to come to church!  After church yesterday we got an interesting text from him....it said

"Dear sisters maclane I need to talk some thing but is yest between me and you  no one else please don't tell this  to no  one else because then we can get on troubles I don't want to get in trouble sister maclane I yest whant to tell you sister maclane that you are super beautiful I am teling you a good thing not a bad thing  I respect you'll 🙌God bless you'll dear sisters maclane and alert.🙌."

Haha so we called our sister training leaders and they told us to block his number, so we did. But somehow! We will got a text from him later that night that said:

" Good thank youll very much sister maclane and sister alert sister I yest know that you sister maclane and are the more best two beautiful girls from the church please don't get mad with me dear sisters I am am teling you'll this with all my respect dear sisters  please don't tell no else nothing about this sister maclane and alert because then we can get in a big trouble and I don't want to get in big trouble because troubles are not good 🙌God bless you'll 🙌dear sisters maclane and alert 😘💞💖😍."

Yiiikkkkkesssssss. Haha.

I gave a talk yesterday in sacrament about how charity impacts missionary work. I was so stressed because sister allart is leaving next week and I need to gain the members trust! So hopefully it went well lol.
Hector came to church yesterday but left during the Sacrament because he got hungry haha. But we saw him walking down the road later that day with some plants and shovels so I went and helped him. He was carrying cantelope plants to plant in his friend's yard to surprise her! He's the sweetest haha. We had a lesson with him after and he told us he has been trying to smoke less and wants to completely stop by next month so he can be baptized! Pray for him please!
Sister Allart and I in Susan (what I named our car)

We got burgers from this tiny local place called JT's. It was the type of food that has grease dripping from it. So so good, but our stomachs were wrecked haha.

Love you all!
