Yesterday we went to a Nigerian church and it was amazing. It was very African rooted and we were the only white people there...so we stuck out more than usual. Haha. But there was a lot of good singing and dancing, and of course a ton of "hallelujah" "praise the Lord" and "amen brudah." We were invited by a Nigerian family we met and they're going to come to ours! I'll attach pics from the brochure they gave us so you can get a little taste.
We also started teaching a guy yesterday from Nigeria, in no way connected to the other church. We met him doing a weekly volleyball event the missionaries here do! He came to our FHE activity last night and we were able to do a lesson with him! He is one of the funniest people I've ever met. He was asking us how he could get a nametag so we explained what we do as missionaries and our purpose. The thing he could NOT get over was that we dont watch TV Haha. He did the math of how many episodes of his favorite anime would come out in a year and a half...77 episodes. So he kept going "SEVENTY SEVEN EPISODES? SEVENTY SEVEN!" "You know how many people would have died??" He said that will be the hardest part of becoming a missionary for him lol. But we taught him about the book of mormon and he is stoked about it.
Welp just realized I'm out of time!
