Hey people!!! This week went by way too fast. I envy the people who get to stay here longer. I seriously love it here. So in my last email I wrote about a sister who passed out after exercising. Welp it happened again but a different sister in our zone. She just blacked out after exercising. Both are from California so I think that has something to do with it. Lol they think they can go just as hard here but nah. I've been ballin' it up during exercise time. I can dribble the ball behind my back now. I'm amazing. I'm working on the between the legs. But yeah hope my brother's and dad are proud of me. I've been doing ball control drills too. That's how bored I am during exercise time. I play volleyball sometimes too and I spiked . Once again, I'm amazing. Since I came to the MTC the Lord has blessed me with increased physical skills. The church is true.
Shout out to my mama for sending me packages! She sent me my Vans and I have never been more grateful. They are my most prized possession.
We took "family photos" yesterday with our district. Elder Allen wanted to color coordinate so he organized that lol. I'll attach pics.
Also, apparently no one can sew a button in our district?? I thought that was something everyone knew how to do lol. So I've sewn buttons onto the elders suits and shirts. I don't know what they're gonna do in the field lol. Prolly not have buttons.
We also got our new "investigators!" I really loved the dude we had. His name was Jeff and he's from Oahu, which is where my companion is from. But he's super funny and is going to work at Pixar as a character designer! He lived in Japan too and is learning Japanese to help him with his potential coworkers. But when we were leaving we gave him our emails and he asked for a picture with us. So I'll attach that Pic too. Sister Nautu and I really developed a good friendship with him so hopefully he emails us!
One of the elders in our district hasn't gotten his visa yet so he's going to California in the meantime! So many people at the MTC right now aren't having their visas go through and are being reassigned. I think it's kinda cool though that they get to serve in two different missions! Plus, our calling is to be a Missionary. We are only assigned to areas and those can easily change. Something I learned this week that I feel kinda dumb not knowing is that Baptism doesn't cleanse us from our sins. The Holy Ghost does. We always talk about how when we are coming out of the water our sins are washed away but 2 Nephi 31:17 teaches us "For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and baptism by water; and then cometh a remission of your sins by fire and by the Holy Ghost" and 2 Nephi 12:2 says "and come down into the depths of humility and be baptized, for they shall be visited with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and shall receive a remission of their sins." So without the holy ghost, our baptism is not complete and its through the holy ghost we receive a remission of our sins. So yeah everybody probably already knew that but I didn't haha.
Our last class is tonight! Im depressed lol. I love our teachers so much. OH ANOTHER THING THAT HAPPENED was our teacher, Brother Oniki, got engaged! We helped him come up with ideas and plan it hahaha. He told us he was going to soon and we made him promise he would do it while we were still here. And he did! So yeah he's getting married in October and all of us are going to take a leave of absence from our missions to go. Our teachers make me want to come and work at the MTC when I get back but I don't wanna ever live in Provo soooo....
But yeah that's all for this week folks. Im being shipped out to Texas Monday at 4am! Haha I'm probably gonna try to take a nap for the remainder of my p-day haha. Oh and we got to go to the temple again today! Each time is better and better! Also I'm obsessed with the tulips here. OH AND IT SNOWED AGAIN THIS WEEK! BUT THIS TIME I GOT TO SEE IT FALLING! IT WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT I CAN REMEMBER SEEING SNOW FALL AND IT WAS MAGICAL.
So yeah love you all! Later skaters.
